

Juan Resendez Aparicio, 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was welcomed into eternal rest by his Lord and Savior, as well as his parents and siblings.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm the Ted Dickey Funeral Home in Plano, Texas. The rosary will be prayed for Mr. Aparicio at 7:00pm on that evening at the funeral home. A Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plano, TX, with Father Miguel Sotelo officiating.
Juan was born on august 21, 1935, in Seguin, Texas, to Ignacio Aparicio and Socorro Resendez. He was raised during his teenage years in Hale Center, Texas, where he met the love of his life, Martina Sepeda. They were married on April 19, 1954, and made their home in west Texas until 1972, when they moved to Plano, Texas. There, they built a life together and shared many joyful years.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, Juan was a man of unwavering faith, kindness, and integrity. He was known for his humility, honesty, and generous spirit. A true gentleman, Juan never spoke ill of others and was respected by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. His work ethic was unmatched, and his wisdom far exceeded his formal education. Juan’s love for his family and dedication to his faith were the cornerstones of his life. He was a long-time member of Saint Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Juan is preceded in death by his parents, Ignacio and Socorro Aparicio; sisters Isabel Carrasco and El Ida Molinar; and brothers Frank, Joe, and Jaime Aparicio. He is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Martina Aparicio; his six children: Yolanda Flores and husband Ancil, Johnny Joe Aparicio, Leeroy Aparicio, Reina Rios, Oscar Aparicio and wife Melody, and Chris Aparicio and spouse Bret Ivey. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren; as well as his sister Delia Alonzo and her husband Fernando.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Heart to Heart Hospice, Ted Dickey Funeral Home, and Saint Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plano, TX for their support and compassionate care during this time.
