Karen was born on August 5, 1959 in Dallas, Texas to Georgia and Kenneth Napper.
She completed the Napper family joining her brother George and sister Dana. Karen enjoyed being surrounded by her family. Karen met and fell in love with David Biel. They were married March 3, 1975. Immediately after their wedding, they moved to Key West, Florida where they welcomed their first son, Kenneth. Karen and Dave lived in Key West, Florida for a few months before Karen moved back to Dallas, Texas while Dave finished his service the with the Navy.
Shortly after moving back to the Dallas area, Karen attended Richland College for a brief time before starting her long and successful career as a Telecommunications Sales Engineer. Karen and Dave welcomed their second son, Daniel and he made their family complete. Karen traveled the world to areas like Ireland, England, Japan, Canada, Mexico and Thailand for work and for pleasure. When she was not working, Karen loved to go snow skiing, plant in her garden and play soccer.
In 1993, Karen became a grandmother to Stephanie. She loved Stephanie and enjoyed spoiling her with shopping trips, tea parties, and traveling to fun places. Karen’s family continued to grow as she welcome her daughter-in-law, Karla. Kenneth and Karla had 2 sets of twins, Kaden and Kirsten and Abigail and Allison who stole Karen’s heart. Shortly after the birth of Kaden and Kirsten, Karen semi-retired so she would have more time to care for and spend time with her grandchildren. The highlight of her days were spent playing with and helping her grandchildren learn more about the world around them.
Karen loved her growing family and was excited when Daniel met and then married Kristina and was thrilled to have another granddaughter, Anna. Karen loved creating things with her grandchildren. They loved to sew, knit and craft all kinds of items.
In 2009 Karen’s family was made complete with the birth of Nathan. Oh the joys Karen had living life through the eyes of her grandchildren. Having the family over to celebrate a birthday, special holiday, or just for dinner would be the happiest days Karen lived saying “I have my chick-a-dees all together.”
