Loren Thomas, L.T., age 83, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 23, 2011 in Richardson, TX. He was born on March 4, 1928 in Los Angeles, CA to Otto and Theresa Thomas. He married his beloved wife, Lissa, at age 19 and he began working for Mobil Oil. He worked his way up from the mailroom to supervisor of payroll and employee benefits. He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Schechter and husband Jerry; son, Michael Thomas and wife Julie Gabrik; grandchildren, Dan, Jody and Ben Schechter; sister-in-law, Jo Bricca Kastleberg; nephew, Tony; nieces, Kathy, Sue and Leslie. He loved the ocean, playing golf and most of all he loved being with his family. He will be dearly missed. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. The family would like to give a special thanks to Maria, Del, and JoAnne for caring for him so lovingly the last years of his life.
