

Nancy Ann Solomon, 90, died on April 19, 2026. She was born on July 6, 1935, in Denton, Texas. In the summer of 1955, she graduated from the University of North Texas and married Jimmy Solomon on August 25, 1955, and enjoyed 54 years of marriage with him. She worked for a few more years at her uncle’s flower shop in Denton. Jimmy graduated from UNT and they moved out of town for his job. They later had two children, Linda and Dan, and in the early sixties they moved to Richardson, Texas. They joined First United Methodist Church where she was a member for 62 years. She stayed at home raising Linda and Dan until she went to work at JJ Pearce High School in Richardson. She earned her master’s and started teaching typing and computers in 1977 and retired in 1991. They moved to Plano, Texas in 1980 and made many lifetime friends. Nancy enjoyed playing and watching golf. She also spent time with family and friends and liked playing bridge. She loved to travel, especially going on cruises. When Jimmy started dialysis at a facility, they looked for an alternative and found together they could do treatments at home which continued until his death. She enjoyed getting together with family, especially at Christmas and family trips and loved cookouts on the deck at Dan and Glenda's. Nancy is survived by her daughter Linda Krebs and husband Keith and son Dan Solomon and wife Glenda, granddaughters Jenni DeLee and partner Nick Collett, Kristy Foegelle and grandsons Ben Krebs and wife Haley and Steve Foegelle and wife Jennifer, seven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Ted Dickey Funeral Home, 2128 18th Street, Plano, TX 75074, US, on May 3, 2026, at 1:00 pm, followed by the Funeral at the same location on May 3, 2026, at 2:00 pm. The Committal Service will take place after the service at Plano Mutual Cemetery, across from the funeral home.
