

Patricia A. Campbell, 93, of Richardson, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. She was born on September 29, 1929 in Mulvane, Kansas. Pat was adopted as an infant and was raised in Eldorado, Kansas. She was a 1947 graduate of Eldorado High School and married a handsome World War II Veteran named Lloyd Campbell later that same year.
Pat & Lloyd began their life together in McPherson, Kansas before settling down in Lyons, Kansas to start a family. Pat worked outside the home, including working as a bookkeeper for Dale Martin Tire Company in Sweetwater, Texas. For the most part, Pat spent her years as a homemaker, which she really enjoyed. Pat was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed sewing, cooking, and gardening. She relished the opportunity to be involved in her kids’ school activities, Girl Scouts, and Cub Scouts over the years. Once she became a grandma, Pat soaked up every opportunity to spend time with them. Pat and Lloyd enjoyed traveling around the world, taking trips in their travel trailer, and cruises to new destinations. She was an animal lover, especially dogs. Pat cherished her faith and was active in church for most of her life. She was a member of First Christian Church of Desoto, where she served as treasurer for many years, and First Christian Church of Waxahachie. Most recently, Pat was a member of the United Disciples Christian Church. Pat leaves behind a legacy of faith and devotion to family. She was a warm and loving woman who fiercely protected her family while grounded in faith and found it to be a blessing to love and care for them. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Frank & Mabel (Swincher) McCallister; son, Randy Campbell; and husband of 61 years, Lloyd Campbell. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy & Rich Brown of McKinney, Texas and Lisa & Chris Wright of Richardson, Texas; grandchildren, Patty (Chris) Bagwell of Frisco, Texas, Randy (Gina) Brown of Providence Village, Texas, Melissa (John) Brand of Prosper, Texas, Jenny (Michael) Hale of Plano, Texas, and Michael (Chelsi) Wright of Princeton, Texas; great-grandchildren, Riley, Logan, Peyton, Jack, Sammy, and Chris; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 12:00pm, with visitation prior to the service from 11:00am-12:00pm in Ted Dickey Funeral Home, 2128 18th St., Plano, TX 75074. A committal service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 1:00pm at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 6412 I-20, Sweetwater, Texas 79556, where Pat will be laid to rest beside her husband and son.
