

Robert E. Chronister was born on November 5, 1928 in Abilene, KS. Robert was born to his Mother Ethel and his Father Everett Chronister. Robert went on to join the Air Force where he achieved the ranking of Staff Sergeant. After he was honorably discharged from the Air Force, Robert went on to attend some college. During this time, Robert met and married the love of his life, his wife Charline. Together they spent 67 years together before Robert passed away on July 28, 2015. Robert loved his job. He was able to carry his training over from the Air Force and he worked with radios and radio communications. Robert also loved the numerous animals that he and Charline cared for, as well as getting the opportunity to work in his yard and take some quiet time to read. Robert is survived by his wife Charline, as well as his daughters and their spouses; Roberta Dancer, and her husband Don, and Rosemarie Chronister. Robert also leaves behind his Granddaughters Misty Groetken, and her husband Nick, and Kristi Weston, and her husband Shelby, as well as his Great Grandchildren: Kayla and Grant Groetken and Kennedy, Cash, and Crue Weston. Robert is also survived by his Brother, Dr. Bert Chronister, and his wife Rochelle, of Neodesha, KS, along with his niece Pam Lewis, and her husband Jeff and step-son Dustin, and nephew Philip Chronister, and wife RaNee and son Peyden. A visitation will be held for Robert on Thursday from 6-8 PM at Ted Dickey Funeral Home with a Committal Service on Friday morning at 9 AM at the Plano Mutual Cemetery and a Memorial Service at the First United Methodist Church of Plano at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the First United Methodist Church Youth Choir or to the American Cancer Society.
