

Robert Joseph Langevin, age 86, of McKinney, TX, formerly of New York, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2011. He was born on March 17, 1925, in Coventry, Rhode Island, to the late Ludger and Elise Langevin. Bob proudly served our country in the United States Navy during World War II in Plymouth, England. He ran a service station for many years in New York. Bob enjoyed billiards and bowling. He loved the ocean and was an avid New York Giants and Boston Red Sox fan. Bob was a deeply religious man with a great faith and he was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, TX. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Langevin; and grandson, Matthew Barile. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 58 years, Velia “Lee” Langevin; daughter, Elise Andrea of Plano, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Joseph Barile of Wyckoff, NJ; three grandchildren, Christopher Andrea and wife, Erin, of Sydney, Australia, Allison Andrea of Frisco, TX and Bryant Barile of Wyckoff, NJ; sister, Lillian Wasson of Rye, NH; brother and sister-in-law, Normand and Sharon Langevin of Kaysville, UT; and many nieces and nephews. In honoring his wishes, Bob will be cremated. A burial of ashes with military honors will be held in the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date.
