I have wanted kids from the time I could remember. All I have ever wanted to be was a mommy. We were blessed with Liam. He turned out to be such a great and loving big brother to Sloane, the little princess we had always dreamed of. From the moment she was born her dad and I were in love. She came out a whopping 7 pounds 12 ounces and 18 inches long. I remember worrying about taking her back to my room with me to see Liam and how he would react, but like any pretty little girl she had him and the other boys wrapped around her finger as soon as they saw her. They all lovingly referred to her as sister, to them she was. She brought so much joy and love to so many in such a short amount of time. Her passing is almost too much to bare. We find ourselves thinking what she would have looked like in 6 months, a year, 5 years, at 16 years old, and so forth. Wishing she was still here and we could see her graduate, get married and have kids of her own. Wishing we could see Liam and her grow up together. They loved each other so much in such a short amount of time. We will miss out on so many things we won’t see her do, like walking, walking and talking, but we hold on to the wonderful things we were blessed to see, her sweet smile; she smiled from a month old. She had just started to laugh when we would tickle her. We fondly referred to her as our “easy” baby. She was such a happy baby, content to play on her own and talk to her toys, but she would let us know when she wanted our attention. She would squeal and babble at me, Matt and her bubba. When she did this, Liam would talk back to her and say “Sister, I don’t know what you’re saying,” “mom what is she saying?” We were so blessed to have such a sweet loving baby girl; we all just wish we could have had her with us a little longer.
