Passed away on April 26, 2015. She was born on February 10, 1958 to James and Nora Powell in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Susan had a passion for music. She worked at SMU for 10 years while studying for her Master’s Degree in Music Education. She was also a member of the Plano Music Teachers Association. She attended Horizon Unitarian Universalist Church 1641 Hebron Pkwy, Carrollton, Texas 75010 where donations can be made in Susan’s honor. Susan is survived by her mother, Nora Powell; sister, Penny Powell; and a host of other family and friends. She is preceded by her father James Powell.
