As Kevin's sister, I was one of the few people who knew Wanda 30+ years ago.  She was humble and shy, but started to blossom when they had kids and got involved with their kids' activities.  When they moved to Texas and got involved with geocaching - She truly found herself.  I want to thank the geocaching world for being so welcoming.  It was extemely heartwarming to see how many people took the time and heart to come to the funeral and make the potluck possible.  I am so grateful that she had SO MANY FRIENDS.  It brought her a great deal of happiness.  GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Kevin, Kathy, Michael, and John, words can not express how shocked and sad I am of Wanda's passing. I am sorry I could not make the trip to Texas to pay my respects, but she will always be in my thoughts and prays, I will miss her. Your wonderful memories will stay with you always and hopefully they will bring you comfort.

I've known Wanda a little over 6 years, and one thing that stands out in my memories is how she always made an effort to visit with everyone and make them feel welcome, she had a kind heart and her love of her family was evident to all who know her.  Our deepest sympathies to the Darbe family for their loss.

Wanda was a special lady.  She always had a smile for everybody.  She was always willing to help in any way and have fun doing whatever was needed.  Prettier-Half will always be remembered by me.

Kevin, I've been remembering some of the fun geocaching adventures we've had together, from Fredericksburg, Tawakoni, the Chapparel Trail just to name a few. She amazed me with her endurance, she didn't let anything like some briars stop her from getting to that cache, especially if there was a pathtag in it. I'm sorry for your loss and will be thinking about you and your kids.

Special love & condolences being sent to your family.  We met KD&PrettierHalf at an event we gave in Plano in 2007 just prior to AG's first hip surgery.  Wanda brought AG a book to read during convelescence.  Please know your geocaching family are holding you up during these trying times.

Wanda was a beautiful person that I have had the honor to know for over 7 years.  I have never known her to hurt anyone on purpose.  When she came back from special trips she would be a bearer of gifts to her Poncho and Lefty crew.  She would bring us little gifts on special occasions like Valentines Day expecting nothing in return.  She love to cache with her husband Kevin..she being his pretty-half.  My heart hurts for her family even though I know she is with Jesus now and has no pain but only Glory.  Kevin she was so lucky to have you for a partner in life, to see and share the world with you..she left this world with many great memories thanks to you!  Peace be with you.
