Wayne Louis Farrell went to his Lord and Savior on March 2, 2020. He was born October 28, 1933 in Prescott, Wisconsin to Louis D. Farrell and Gladys Harwell Farrell. Wayne attended Winona State College in Winona, Minnesota. He then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Montgomery, Alabama where he met and married Martha L. McCain. Following his discharge, Wayne returned to Wisconsin to attend Wisconsin State University.
His professional career spanned a period of 35 years in management of oil and gas properties, commencing with Union Carbide Corp. in New York and ending with the Enron Corp in Houston, Texas. Wayne then retired in Birmingham, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Martha L. Farrell; mother, Gladys H. Farrell; father, Louis D. Farrell and grandson, Matthew Adams. He is survived by his daughter, Cheri L. Adams and son-in-law, Jackie Adams of Merit, Texas and grandson, Mason Adams of Dallas, Texas and a great-granddaughter, Chloe Kathleen Grace Adams.
Wayne was a member of Bold Springs Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, AL where he served as an Elder. It is requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Presbyterian Home for Children, PO Drawer 577, Talladega, AL 35161-9975.
