

Bill entered the U. S. Army on January 19, 1954 at Fort Douglas, Utah and served as a medic.
He was a graduate of the University of Wyoming. Bill worked for Union Pacific Railroad during his college years and also became a licensed pilot. After graduation he took a position as athletic trainer at the University of Wyoming followed by positions at Wichita State, West Point Military Academy, and Texas A&M University. While at Texas A&M, Bill met and married his wife of 43 years, Myra June Wylie. He made a transition to professional football by taking a position with the New Orleans Saints. He again made a career change becoming an athletic trainer and teacher in the Del Rio, Texas school system. In 1969 Bill and June relocated to Richardson, Texas where Bill was the first athletic trainer at the new Pearce High School. He later became a counselor at Pearce and North Junior High. After retirement, Bill did substitute teaching in the Richardson, Plano, and Frisco school districts.
Bill was a man of many and varied talents. He was an artist, a leather craftsman, a railroad modeler, and an aspiring violinist.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, June Cuthbertson and his brother, Jack Cuthbertson of Lander, Wyoming. Bill is survived by his nieces, Janet Parker Peterson and Kay Parker Welborn; nephews, Paul W. Parker and Richard M. Vick; 7 great-nieces; 4 great-nephews; 5 great great-nieces; and 4 great great-nephews. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
