YOUNG, Archie D., age 84, of Plant City, FL, born in Mt. Morris, MI and formerly of Ridgecrest, CA passed away on February 10, 2017. Archie was a retired Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy. He served in both Vietnam and Korea. He was a member of Bay Area Church of Christ, Mango, FL.
Archie is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Mary Ann Young; daughter, Linda Thrift; and brother, Elias Durham. Loving family who survive are son, Jeffery Young and wife, Nancy, of Plant City, FL and daughter, Dayle Ann Patty and husband, Thomas A., of Sioux Falls, SD; six grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Bay Area Church of Christ, Mango, FL on Saturday, February 18, 2017, 1pm with military honors. Inurnment will take place at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at a later date. In lieu of flowers, you may make donations in his memory to LifePath Hospice or other charity of your choice.
