Arley “David” Douberly, 56, of Lakeland, FL, passed away on July 21, 2025, surrounded by love. Born on January 27, 1969, David lived a life full of heart, laughter, and generosity that touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
David is survived by his loving wife Rachel (42), his children Wyatt (16) and Britanni (35), his cherished grandson Brentley (14), and a large extended family of friends and loved ones who were family in every sense of the word.
He worked as a dedicated Polk County School Bus Driver for Area 2 and spent countless hours volunteering with the Special Olympics, always giving freely of his time and energy. David was known for his kindness, quick wit, and willingness to help anyone in need—without hesitation.
He loved football, scalloping, music, and spending time with friends, especially playing cards with Deanna and Jeffrey. A lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, David also loved to “rag on a rival” for fun and had a way of turning even a sports debate into a good laugh. He loved fiercely and gently, and remained strong until his very last breath.
