Charlotte May Stansel

Stansel (Zimmer), Charlotte 83, of Lakeland, FL, formerly of Plant City, FL, passed away on September 16, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and will be missed. She was a member of St Clement Catholic Church. Her life and her love were her family. Angels, crocheting and cooking were some of her favorite hobbies.

She is preceded in death by parents, Martha and Bert Zimmer; her husband of more than 50 years, Charles "Sonny" K. Stansel; brother, Jim and sister, Verna. She is survived by sons: Charles Stansel (Edith), Craig Stansel, Curtis Stansel (Adela); daughters: Charlene Schroder, Cynthia McCarty (Michael), Cathryn Meingasner; sister, Evelyn Turner (Bob); twelve grandchildren: Jonathan, Joshua, Jason, Melonie, Robin, Matthew, Ashley, Amanda, Anthony, Caitlin, RJ, Leemarie; and ten great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Saturday, September 19, 2015, 2pm-5pm at Wells Memorial in Plant City, followed by a reception at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Plant City. A funeral mass will be on Monday, September 21, 2015, 11am at St Clement Catholic Church in Plant City. Private burial will take place at Florida National Cemetery.
