Gilbert "Gil" John Allison

Allison, Gilbert “Gil” John, age 79, of Plant City, FL, passed away on May 5, 2015. Born in Salem, OH and formerly of Tampa, FL, Gil served in the US Army during the Korean War and retired from GTE Florida in 1990.

He is predeceased by his mother, Catherine T. Allison, and four siblings. Loving family who survive are wife of 57 years, Margaret "Peg" Allison; one son, Thomas G. Allison; two daughters: Catherine "Katy" Allison, Mary Frances "Fran" Lavandera (Hank); and one grandson, Joseph F. Lavandera.

A visitation will be at Wells Memorial Funeral Home in Plant City, FL on May 7, 2015, 6-8pm. A funeral mass will be at St. Clement Catholic Church on May 8, 2015, 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to My Brother's Keeper at St. Clement Catholic Church.
