Plant City - Bennett, Harry "Bennie", 78, of Plant City, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 9, 2012. He was born Dec. 2, 1933 in the Cork Community of Plant City. He lived in Cork his entire life and was a faithful member of Bethany Baptist Church.
He was retired from Grace & Cargill mines where he was employed for 47 years. Bennie had a passion for life and was a faithful "Florida Gator Fan."
He is survived by his devoted wife of 26 years, Lois Bennett, daughters Sandy Brunty (Rusty), Debbie Suarez (Ray); granddaughters, Stephanie Fincher, Shellee Pollin, Amber Biard, Audra Ford; grandsons, Shawn Layton, Shane Layton; 5 great granddaughters, 2 great grandsons, and 1 great great Grandson.
Funeral Services will be on Monday May 14, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Wells Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
