Ina G Olds

She is predeceased by her parents, Volen and Bracie Netherton; brother, Lloyd Netherton; sister, Creola Kuyrkendall; brother-in-laws; Harry Kuyrkendall and George Schabowski, niece; Julie, and nephews; Butch and Andrew.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Don Olds; daughters, Pamela Hayes, Kimela Shapuras (Kenneth), and Cheryl Cassel (John); sister, Thelma Schabowski; sister-in-law, Betty Netherton, grandchildren, Jenny, Christy, Nicole, Dawn, Cory, Amber, and Kati; 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandaughter; niece, Beverly Speasard; and nephew, Cass Netherton.

Though Ina’s physical health had been failing for years, her joy for life, family, and beautiful spirit kept her pushing through the pain. When anyone else would have broken, Ina stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly looks like.

Ina was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was so very proud of her family. She had a way about her that made everyone in her life feel as if they were the most special person in the world. It was impossible to walk away from time spent with her not knowing you were loved. To know her was to love her.

Regardless of all she had been through, Ina had a full and beautiful life with an immense amount of love and joy. She was fortunate enough to travel around the world with her husband, Don, her sister Thelma (George) Schabowski, and brother, Lloyd (Betty) Netherton. She often looked back on her travels with such fondness and was extremely grateful for having those experiences.

Ina go so much pleasure out of some of the smaller things in life. It was one of many things that was so endearing about her. Her frog collection, angel statues, Thomas Kincaid collection and her Christmas Village were some of her favorite things.

Ina loved the holidays, especially Christmas. She loved decorating the house with her joyous Christmas spirit and having family get togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was most important to her.

Ina’s greatest attributes were her lust for life and her ability to love unconditionally. She will be missed beyond measure.
