Rhoades, Janice L., 85, of Zephyrhills, formerly of Plant City, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020. She was born on December 17, 1933 in Harvey, Illinois to William and Blanche Melton, Sr. She married Donald Gene Rhoades from Corydon, Indiana and they moved to Plant City in 1961. Mr. Donald Rhoades retired as a letter carrier from Plant City and predeceased his wife, Mrs. Janice. She was also predeceased by her parents, and her brothers; Richard Melton of Pontiact, Illinois and William Melton, Jr. of Plant City.
She is survived by her children; Sherrie Colgain, Valerie Ragan and family, Karl Rhoades and family and her sister; Clara May Pinaire of New Albany, Indiana.
Janice loved to sew/quilt, crafting and decorative painting. She was a member of the National Society of Decorative Painters, Florida Suncoast Decorative Artists (FSDA), and Heart of Pinellas Decorative Artists (HPDA). She also enjoyed gardening.
She was well loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
