Flowers, John L, 74 of Plant City entered into rest July 11, 2016. John worked with UPS for 25 years as a driver and later a supervisor. He was a member of Faith Lighthouse Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army. John enjoyed sports serving as a youth football league assistant coach for 30 years with the Pinecrest Pilots and Antioch Redskins. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Geraldine "Gerri"; two daughters, Melissa Jenkins and Sharon Ann Flowers; one granddaughter, Makayla Jenkins; brothers, Leo Maddox (Gracie), Ervin Flowers (Melanie); sisters, Jeanette Smith, Geneva Guevara, Marlene Hall. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 14, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wells Memorial and Event Center. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday,
July 15, 2016 at Plant City Assembly of God with Pastor Braddock officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Enon Cemetery.
