LANG, Joseph Arnold, age 83, of Plant City, FL passed away on September 24, 2017 in Wauchula, FL. He was a member of First Baptist Church Plant City. As a young man, he enjoyed bowling, golfing and playing sports with his kids. He worked as a Personnel and Safety Manager and retired from the phosphate industry at Consolidated Minerals Inc.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Ann Lang; his brother William Lang; and his sister, Marlene Lang Sloan. Family who survive are his wife of 29 years, Betty Jo Lang; sons, Alan Lang (Donna), Wade Lang (Cheryl), Ted Mott (Karen); six grandchildren, Jerod Alan Lang, Jaime Nicole Selph, Amanda Davis, Anna Mahoney, Andrea Phelps, Tiffany Anglin; nine great grandchildren; and cousin, Lonnie Gonzalez.
A funeral service will be held at Wells Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 11am with Pastor Elvin Hall officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at East Oaklawn Cemetery in Plant City.
