

Sarah Alice (Hancock) Hall, age 83 of Seffner passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2010. She was a native of Florence Villa, FL and was a lifelong resident of FL. She is preceded in death by her parents: John E. Hancock and Annie Parker Hancock; brothers: John E. Hancock, Jr. and Arthur “Little Chaney” Hancock; husband of 48 years, Martine Hall; sons: William M. Hall, Master Sergeant Larry M. Hall; daughter: Linda G. Hall. Survivors include: Daughter: Joy L. Ford (Jim) of Valrico; sister: Frances L. Scott of Plant City; brothers: Rev. Wayne H. Hancock (Joyce) of Ft. White, FL, Robert V. Hancock (Eldean) of Winter Haven, Joel D. Hancock (Betty) of Plant City; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Mrs. Hall worked for the Hillsborough County School system as a bus driver for 32 years before retiring in 1990. She was a member of Mt. Zion Assembly of God, a member of Plant City Chapter #81 O.E.S., and a charter member of Augusta Jane Evans United Daughters of Confederacy. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. with Eastern Star service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be on Friday, 1:00 p.m. at Wells Memorial Chapel with Reverend Wayne H. Hancock officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Wells Memorial Funeral Home, Plant City, FL.
