

Shirley was born in Plant City, Florida, to C. A. Glisson and Evelyn Glisson. She spent many years working as an ESE aide
on a handicapped school bus, where she helped care for and support special needs children. Her kindness, patience, and caring
nature touched the lives of many families and students.
Shirley loved traveling, shopping, dancing, listening to music, and enjoying delicious food. She found great joy in spending time
with loved ones and creating special memories with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Brown; her daughter, Renee Van Vaerenbergh; and her sister, Louise Spina.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammie Grantham; her sisters, Helen Hawkins and Jeanette Hoffmann; and her many beloved
grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will continue to cherish her memory.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Wells Memorial and Event Center. Burial will follow
immediately after the service at Mount Enon Cemetery.
Shirley will be remembered for her loving heart, her devotion to family, and the joy she brought to those around her. She will be
deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege of
knowing her.
