It is 3 years since my dear friend Kay left us but she is always with me.   Our years of shared memories as fresh today as they were  50 years ago

Catherine (Kay) is always in my memory, never to be forgotten and missed terribly.

It is 3 years since our dear Kay left us but it seems like yesterday.  Always in my heart and with loving memories of the times we shared..   You are forever celebrated as a loving friend and mentor to so many people.

2 years have passed so quickly but my dear Kay is always with me  - From photos that recall the happy times with Harvey and Kay to the wonderful reunion   lunches and memories we shared with our Ville Marie friends whenever I visited her from Halifax.  I miss her warmth and wisdom and generosity of spirit.   You touched so many lives and will always be in our hearts.

Already two years, it is hard to believe.  My thoughts are always with my dear friend, Kay (Catherine), and she will never be forgotten.
On the anniversary of her passing, my thoughts are with her family.

One year later, how fast time goes by.  Kay is still very much missed and always will be.  The memories I have of her will always stay with me.  I hope that Kay's family is taking some comfort in knowing that I am thinking of them at this difficult time.

We always enjoyed visiting Grandma in Montreal. She had lots of stories and took a keen interest in our lives,  as she was an excellent listener. We have fond memories with her: listening to music, having drinks, and going to lunch at her favourite restaurant, Casa Grecque. Grandma would be sure to fill up at the salad bar, enjoy the complimentary  dessert, and then pack up her pasta dish to-go so she could enjoy it for dinner.

This past summer, in July 2020, we spent the afternoon having a picnic with Grandma. That is where we did a video interview with her in order to document her stories. We invite you all to watch and listen to the interviews here:

Grandma will be remembered as being strong and independent. She lived a long and happy life, and we were sorry to see her health decline this past year. She will forever be in our hearts!


Hi Kay, I will so miss your quick reparti  your sense of humor and our lunch dates. And someday,  with good luck, we will have that famous banana cake together. Until then, I will be thinking of you. Love you, Inga. 


I first met Kay nearly 50 years ago when she joined us at Ville Marie Social Services.  We became close friends very quickly as Kay and Harvey opened their hearts and home to me.  My family was in England but Kay was like an older, wiser sister and when I moved away, first to Toronto and then to Halifax, I cherished my visits back "home" to Kay who always organised reunions with our circle of Ville Marie friends,  In latter years we maintained our friendship by phone and she ensured I received updates on how everyone was doing.  She called me shortly before she died and I am so grateful to have had the chance to spend that time with her.  God bless my dearest Kay, you will always be a part of me.

My deepest sympathies to  Allen, Wayne, Lorne and their families.  Kay was a very special lady whose greatest joy was in her family.

So sorry to hear the news of Kathleen’s passing.  Her visits to the farm were always enjoyed and she will be missed!  Remember the good times.

My heartfelt condolences go out to all of you and your families. I have known Kay for many years as she was such a good friend to both my parents, but especially my late mother, Muriel. Like my mom, she was fiercely independent and enjoyed life to the fullest. We shared many good times and laughs together. I feel very blessed to have known her and she will forever be in my heart. May the special memories and love you share provide some comfort and peace during this sad time. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I have known Kay for 42 years, first as a work colleague and we continued our friendship into retirement.  Unfortunately I have not been able to see her for a while because of COVID, but I did have the chance to speak with her recently.  She will always be in my heart and always be on my mind.  She will be sadly missed.  Rest in peace my dear friend.

I will forever cherish fond memories of our group lunches with Pierrette, Bonnie Agnes and Magda.  We all worked with Kaye at Ville Marie Social Services. 
My husband  and I spent a very nice afternoon with her this past spring,  A genuine Lady, generous, loving, caring and sincere. We will miss her so much.  May she rest in peace!
