Donna Donnelly, daughter of Leona and John Donnelly (deceased), passed away peacefully at the Lakeshore General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, Thursday evening, July 29, 2022. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Diana deGruchy, and she was Grannie to her adoring grandchildren Kobe and Madison. Donna graduated from D’Arcy McGee High School and St. Joseph Teacher’s College. She taught in various schools of the Montreal Catholic School Commission, and the English Montreal School Board. She also completed a Master of Education degree in 1989 and acquired an additional graduate diploma in Adult Education in 1995. She was especially devoted to her special education adult students. On the day of passing she was surrounded by her loving family, and her evening with filled with prayers and familiar comforts from her home. She was a warrior, and she died with dignity and honour, on her own terms. Donna was devoted to her loving partner Bob Bechard (deceased) and to her brother, Terry Donnelly (deceased). She will be affectionately remembered by her first husband Larry deGruchy, by Phil, father of Kobe and Madison, and by her cousins Patricia (Hawksbury) and Sue (Calgary). We would like to thank the Lakeshore General Hospital, the Lac St. Louis CLSC, and her G.P. Dr. Lalla, as well as express our heartfelt appreciation to her neighbourhood family on Florida Drive, in Beaconsfield. We will miss her terribly, but thank her for the wisdom and love she shared with us over the years. Funeral arrangements are as follows: Visitation on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, followed by mass at St. Edmund of Canterbury Church, 105 Beaconsfield Blvd., Beaconsfield, QC.
