It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jim Scott. Father of Beth, Heather (Terry), Wendy (Jim). Grandfather to Dylan (Melissa), Erica (Lundy), Skylar (Cody), Mackenzie and a great granddaughter. Mourned by Janice Cumming and family Wendy (Peter), Lois, Christopher, Sharon (Mike). Stepfather to the Bourassa boys Lucien, Jean (Michelle), Roger (Michel). Combined 12 step grandchildren and 7 step great grandchildren. Predeceased by wife Pauline Bourassa and sister Barbara Chesmer.

As a Bachelor of Science graduate, specializing in mathematics and physics, his curiosity lasted a lifetime. An athlete in his youth, accomplished and lifelong sailor (PCYC), voracious reader, and avid crossword puzzle solver. Lifelong passion for and involved in politics. Retired after 33 years with Bell as Section Manager-Technology Development.

We were blessed to celebrate his 90th Birthday with him in August, before he set sail on his final voyage. He is likely seeking out Alex Trebek for the daily double. We along with our family and his many friends hold him forever in our hearts.

Celebration of Life will be held on November 6th, 2021 for family. Visitations for friends at Collins Clarke (Pointe Claire) between 12:30 and 2:00 pm, with Life Celebration for family to follow. We ask that visitors be fully vaxed.

Donations can be made to Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation or Adaptive Sailing Program (AQVA PCYC).

You may view the ceremony live or on replay at https://funeraweb.tv/en/diffusions/38894.

Because we are not all fully vaccinated we will not pay our final respects to Jim in person. I was lucky to have had the chance to participate in many lunch time outings with Jim and my father, Leo. I quickly learned to appreciate Jim`s wit and clever and analytical approach to diverse subjects. I know that my father and I will both miss Jim. Our condolences to Janice and Jim`s extended family. You are all in our prayers.

We are saddened to hear of Uncle Jim passing . He will truly be missed by all. Our condolences to Janice, our cousins and rest of the family.
Uncle Jim was a witty and kind man. I always loved hearing his stories, especially about his travels on the boat. He was very knowledgeable in many topics and enjoyed life. So sad that he is gone!! Hugs and love to all xoxo
