JOHN A. (JACK) LANG
May 17, 1915 - January 20, 2012
Jack passed away peacefully at Ottawa Grace Manor on Friday, January 20, 2012 at the age of ninety-six. Beloved husband of the late Joan Lang (Searle). Dear father of Gay Booth (Michael) and John (Lynne). Caring Grandfather to Christopher, Sharon, John and Erin. Great-grandfather to Noah, Lyla, Adele and Finn. Jack's work involved terms with Crane Canada, Cartier Refined Sugars and Phenix Flour. A well-known, long time, resident of the West Island, his activities ranged from racing motor boats in the 1930's to serving several terms as a Director of the Lakeshore General Hospital. Jack lived a full life particularly enjoying outdoor activities and working and entertaining with Joan around the family home on the lakeshore in Beaconsfield, Quebec. He loved the time spent in his vegetable garden, playing with his dogs and the winter holidays in Barbados. Many thanks to Carmen Leger and all the Raymond family for their support over the years. Special thanks to the staff at the Ottawa Grace Manor and Beverly Edwards for their compassionate care. The Funeral Service will be held at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home, 27 Avenue Salisbury, Pointe Claire, Quebec on February 13, 2012 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Ottawa Grace Manor would be appreciated. www.gracemanor.ca
