I’m so very sorry about John.  I knew John from work during our Canadair days and beyond.  An icon in his own right as virtually every aircraft customer knew him.  I had the opportunity to interact with John and he was a steadfast professional, always.  His contributions helped lay the path for all our successes.  I enjoyed his wit and honest conversations.  He will be very missed by many including me.

John and I worked at Bombardier on numerous projects over the years. John was a person who always brought some humor to work and because of his ways of making us all laugh at times he was able to gracefully hold us accountable to a professional standard that all respected. Over the years as I got to know John I developed an understanding that even if we did not agree on a topic we could talk about it. I hold John in high regard and feel the world is a better place because of him. May his memory always be a blessing.

To Maria and Family. My deepest sympathy for you loss of John. John was a wonderful person, well liked by many. A person of great dedication to his family and work colleagues. He was  always so happy to talk about his family.  He will be missed by all.

John was a good friend whom I worked with in Bombardier for many years.  During our retirement we frequently took breakfast together and had many fun and good times reminiscing.  He will be sorely missed by many and I would like to take this opportunity to send my sympathies to Maria and the family at this painful time. May you rest in peace John and your future journeys be smooth and untroubled wherever your spirit takes you.  God speed, and thank you for your friendship.

I worked with John on the Learjet 85 program, traveling from Wichita to Montreal every two weeks to work alongside John. I did this for well over a year it seems. A funny story, this happened sometime late summer early fall. John was the constant jokester and enjoyed a good laugh. While he was away for a meeting I took his book calendar and flipped to his birthday Dec 1st. I wrote "Happy Birthday you old fart". It was many months later I got a picture text message from him, showing he finally found the message I left. He greatly appreciated the sentiment.

We met in the early 1980"s we we had the British invasions at Canadair. You were one of my many mentors who never asked for anything in return. Over the years to follow we worked on more aircraft development programs than I can list, and tried to infuse your vast knowledge into all of them, making sure to improve each one along the way. Your way of including others in solving issues and giving most of the credit of addressing issues to them made you recognized as a great team player.
Our weekly breakfast together were always joyous.
Many times our discussions were about our families and how important they were to you. Always there to provided a lift or fix a broken item, You were a fountain of knowledge and were always eager to share it at great length.
I was hoping to have a breakfast with you and Mike W. to celebrate our upcoming Birthdays as we usually did. I'm heart broken.
