Peacefully at the West Island Palliative Care on Friday February 4, 2011. Cherished husband of 50 years to Joyce (nee King), loving father to Gareth (Melissa) and Timothy (Melissa). Proud grandfather to John and Marianne and uncle to many nephews and nieces. John is predeceased by his parents Fred and Edith, his brother Wilson and his sister Christine. John was born in England, immigrated to Canada in 1956 and worked as an Electrical Engineer for most of his career at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. John was an avid tennis player, amateur cook and gardener. Visitation will be held at: On Wednesday February 9, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. There will be a chapel service following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Montreal General Hospital Foundation or to a charity of your choice. There will also be a reception for family and friends after the service
