Judith Ann Coreau

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved life-partner, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend on April 23, 2022. Predeceased by her parents Mary (Eaton) and Harry Coreau. Judie leaves behind her loving life-partner Rick Brus, sister Marilyn, brother Ron (Diana), sister-in-law Helena, nephew Ryan (Laurie), great nephews Ethan and Callum, and cousins and friends across Canada and the United States.

Judie experienced many unwanted and unexpected challenges over the last 15 months, all of which she met with a brave, determined, and fierce fight. Now it is time for you to rest and find the peace you deserve.

Judie was born and grew up in Montreal and spent her early years in Morin Heights. Judie’s was a large loving family of grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, siblings, and cousins all of whom were close to her heart throughout her life. Stories of large family gathering in Morin Heights and Mont Tremblant are still recounted and bring smiles of remembrance.

Judie spent 42 years in the insurance business, her dedication to her clients over the years resulted in many lifelong friendships and a deep respect her clients held for her professionalism and commitment to their needs.

With Rick, her life partner she enjoyed the best years of her life, enjoying life to the fullest, laughing, and creating memories together. Judie loved planning and sharing the stories of their annual winter vacations south and the new friends made along the way. She enjoyed cooking and sharing her recipes and creations, especially on Facebook; but most all she enjoyed weekends at the camp, on Lac Mercier, with Rick and their friends sharing the evening sunset and a good meal.

The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of the intensive care unit of the Lakeshore General Hospital for their dedication, care, and compassion over the last weeks.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
