

Kathleen ‘Buff’ Wilson, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at the Huntingdon County Hospital.
Buff was born on June 15, 1937, a daughter of the late Erin and Margaret McAllister. After growing up in Alberta, she attended McGill University in 1958, where she received a degree in Occupational Therapy. Buff married Alex Wilson in 1959 and settled in Huntingdon, Quebec where they lovingly raised 3 children.
Buff devoted much of her life to improving the lives of seniors. She worked for 12 years as the Coordinator of the Huntingdon Craft & Recreation Centre. In 1983, she was awarded the Certificate of Honour in recognition of exceptional service in fostering improved quality of life within the community. After returning to university at the age of 49, Buff graduated with from Concordia University in 1989 with a degree in Leisure Sciences, earning Honours for academic excellence. Following graduation she continued to work with seniors until her retirement. She enjoyed cooking, crafts, bowling, sewing, crossword puzzles and movies.
Buff is survived by her partner Domenic Santini; sisters, Jean Geddes and Mary Cordier; children, Karen, Deborah (Kenny Elder) and Stephen (Rachel); and loving grandchildren, Nancy(Jae Ehrenhaft), Sarah, Samantha, Brittany (Christopher Daniel), Peter, Bradley, Jeffrey, Jenna and great-granddaugther Morgan.
Special thanks to the staff at the Huntingdon Hospital for giving Buff such dignified and compassionate care during her final year with us.
