

Marie Eva Lucille Garneau Arsenault passed away peacefully on February 4th 2017. Lou was predeceased by her husband Raoul, her brother Gerry, her sister Roslyn, her mother Evelyne, and her father Paul-Emile. She is survived by her seven children, Joanne (Jeffrey), Suzanne (Henry), Michael (Margarita), Louise, Pierre (Mai), Daniel (Jennifer) and René (Carol); by her sixteen grandchildren, Simone (Derek), Marise (Chanaka), Madeleine (Danu), Evelyne (Jacob), Pablo (Lisa), Nicholas (Lara), Thomas, André, Danielle, Tyler, Noah, Nicole, Mathieu, Zakary, Jacob and Jonah; and by her four great-grandchildren, Leyani, Sheshanti, Morgan and Laura.
She will be sadly missed by her many friends and relatives. Her family would like to thank the staff of Westmount One for their kind attention and care, as well as the staff of the Stroke Unit at the Montreal General Hospital. Resting at Collins, Clarke, MacGillivray, White, 222 Highway 20 in Pointe Claire (Cartier exit 49). Visitation on Friday February 10th from 5pm to 9pm, Funeral service will be held on Saturday February 11th, at 11am at l’Église Saint-Joachim, Pointe Claire Village. Reception to follow.
Lou dedicated her life to helping others, not only as a mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother but also as a passionate volunteer. She co-founded the Centre Bienvenue, a not-for-profit organization that equips individuals living with mental health issues with the tools and services they need to be active and contributing members of society.
Lucille will be fondly remembered for her calm compassionate dignified presence and most of all for her unconditional love.
