Our beloved mother has died Friday, July 11, 2014 in her ninety-second year. Mum was born in Ayr, Scotland, daughter of Isabella and David Williamson. Mum achieved her Masters and B.A. in English and History from University of Glasgow and a Teaching Certificate from University of Edinburgh. Mum immigrated to Canada in the mid 50s. In her time, Mum was a pioneer of sorts, and ably balanced a full time professional career with her family life, which included two children. Mum held various jobs working in Montreal as a social worker and teacher at King's and Westmount Park Schools. Later on, she became a guidance consultant with the P.S.B.G.M. until retirement in the 1980s. Mum enjoyed cooking, the arts and travelling with Dad to the U.S. and abroad. Many happy days were spent at the cottage in St. Donat, boating and swimming. An avid reader, Mum volunteered at Hudson Library. Sadly missing her are her husband Zdzislaw "Richard", daughters Pat (George), Anne (Ed), granddaughters Kyra and Jennifer (Bryan), grandson David (Jamie), great- granddaughters Kayla, Olivia and Emily, great-grandson Lucas and many friends and family. A special thank you to all staff at Maxwell Residence for their care and support. Visitation from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Chapel Service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home, 222 Autoroute 20, Pointe Claire, on July 18, 2014.
