After a short illness and a brave battle, Peg Wooley (née Dunk) died peacefully at the West Island Palliative Care Centre. She was predeceased by her late husband, Edwin (Ted) Wooley, and sons, Michael and Brett. She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Christine (Paul Berry) and Sandy, and by her grandchildren, Caitlin Berry, Alison Tremblay, Erin Berry, Michael Tremblay, and Dylan Wooley-Berry.

Peg was born in Verdun and grew up in the Pointe-Claire Village. She attended Cedar Park Elementary School and completed her High School in the evenings while she worked as a Law Secretary in Old Montreal. Later, she went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts at Sir. George Williams (Concordia University), where she met her husband. She later completed a Bachelor of Education at Sir. George Williams, while raising four children. She was a strong, intelligent woman, who had a quick wit and a strong love and devotion for her family.

Peg was a founding member of the Lakeshore Unitarian Universalist Congregation (LUUC) as well as Beaconsfield Heights Pool. She was an Early Childhood Educator and the Director at Whiteside Taylor Daycare, where she worked for 22 years. During retirement, Peg was an avid reader, gardener, knitter, bridge player, art museum and theatre goer, and attended the weekly Beaconsfield Loonie Breakfasts for seniors. She also loved solving the crossword puzzle from the daily newspapers.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on June 8 at 11:00 at the Lakeshore Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 5065 Sherbrooke St, Lachine.
