To Diana and family,
I was one of Marie's teachers for her beloved company, English à la carte.  I didn't know her well on the personal side but I certainly got to know her on the professional side.  Her company was her pride and joy along with her family and cats. She worked endlessly on documents to make sure her students were getting the 'creme de la creme' as she used to say.

I was so sad  to hear that Marie has passed away.  Please accept my deepest sympathy.  I am sure this is a very sad time and my prayers are with you.

I have many fond memories dating back to  real estate at Remax Westmount and trips to conferences as well!  Lunch with Marie and Peggie Hopkins a few years ago was such fun - another good time to remember Marie!

Dearest Diana, and Marie's whole family and many loved ones...

Two of the two most lasting impressions I have of Marie are how fiercely she cared for you, Diana, in hospital when we were in Kindergarten and you were sick. And your first big birthday party when you were well and were out of hospital. She threw such a big bash and made sure it was the big celebration you deserved. 

My heart is with you in this huge transition and I pray your connection with her stays strong even as it changes form.

I just loved and continue to love Marie Max who I met over 30 years ago when she worked in real estate. What a sense of humour she had, not to mention a lovely smile.  Marie had a generous soul,  and always took the time to listen. I will miss her dearly. My heartfelt condolences to her daughter and family members.

I am so sorry to hear of Marie’s death. We had just begun to reconnect a little. My memories are from high school, when the Max family was so kind to me, and Marie and I were close. One memorable summer, I worked on their farm, planting and harvesting lettuce and other veggies. So much fun! I met Diana when she was an adorable 3 year old. 

May you cherish your good memories. 


My deepest condolences to Diana, Orville, and the entire Max family. I was a fellow ESL teacher and shared many wonderful moments with Marie over the years. I am grateful that our paths crossed, once again, in recent months, but so wish I could have seen her again face to face.

I am shocked and disheartened to hear this terrible news regarding Marie.
We had so many happy memories of adventures together many years ago, and  I will think of them often always with a smile.

Deepest condolences to the family, I was shocked and saddened to hear the passing of Marie that I have met the first time 20 years ago as a real estate broker on Nun’s Island I have done 3 transactions with Marie and from then on we stayed in touch. She was a devoted and kind person I will always have a special thought for Marie.  RIP Marie
