

With deep sadness we announce that Mazi Peter Nwafor passed away suddenly on March 26th, 2022 after a brave battle with cancer. He would have turned 87 this April. He is survived by his two children Emeka and Nkechi, his daughter in-law Irene, son in-law Easton, beloved grand daughters Akosua and Ijeoma, Mrs. Bernadette Nwafor (née Nwokoro), his beloved brothers Mazi Clement, Mazi Stephen, Mazi Joseph, Mazi Tochukwu, Mazi Francis, and Mazi Chima, and Nwafor-Uwah family members in Nigeria and abroad. Mazi Peter Nwafor was a well respected leader, elder, and mentor in the Arochukwu community in Nigeria, the Nigerian Canadian Association, the Otu Ndi Igbo community, and the West Island Black Community Association.
Visitation is on Thursday April 7, 2022, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home: 220 Autoroute 20, Pointe-Claire, Quebec H9S 3X5.
A funeral service will be held on Friday April 8, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Saint Edmund of Canterbury Church: 105 Beaconsfield Boulevard, Montreal, Quebec H9W 3Z8.
