Passed away peacefully on Friday, April 28, 2017 at the Lakeshore General Hospital. Omer is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marilyn (Rehder). His pride and joy were his 4 children Elise, Jeanne, Pauline (Charles), and André (Wendy), and his grandchildren; Elizabeth, Riki, Margaux, Renée, Rachelle, Max, and Jack. He also leaves behind his brothers and sisters, and their families. Omer was born in Timmins, Ontario, and graduated with a B.A. from UWO in 1953. The “5 Million Dollar Man” and “Lunch Captain” was employed by London Life (CLU, CFP) for over 60 years, and “retired” several times, finally in 2016. He loved playing golf, working in his yard, and always looked forward to visits from his grandkids. He will be missed by many. There will be a visitation beginning at 10 am on Tuesday, May 2 followed by a short service at 11:00 am at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Homes, 222 Autoroute 20 Pointe-Claire, QC (514) 483-1870. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
