I have known Peter as a colleague for over 10 years. He worked closely with me and my team. When I think of Peter, its his infectious smile and his 'can do' attitude that I always think of. Peter was well liked by everyone!
May my sincere condolences bring some comfort to Peter's family and may my prayers ease the pain of this loss.
Sincerely, Alice Thomas

No wonder they named a saint after Peter. He did have a saintly aura. I remember his smile, his laugh, his optimism, his generosity, supportive nature, and sense of humor. His gravelly voice.

I will miss my cousin. I know you are in a good place now Peter. Look down and dry my tears.

My condolences to Lauryn, Kaleigh, and Sean; Jonathan and Maria; Andrew and Mei-Chuen; and your extended families.

I have known Peter as a colleague and friend for more than 30 years. During much of that period, I had the distinct pleasure of working very closely with him and can recall many fond memories. Peter was a very dedicated and caring individual who will be missed by everyone who knew him. My deepest sympathies to Peter's family.

Oh Peter, how you will be missed.
Since we met them in Oakville 17 years ago Peter, Lauryn, Henry and I spent a lot of hours together - walking (with Abby of course), eating, playing and sharing our lives. Peter was always great to be around - fun, funny, understanding and smart. It was also clear that he was a loving and supportive husband and father. He and Lauryn created a great family.
I am so glad Peter got to experience at least a few relaxed years in their great home on the river, closer to his family and with his lovely grandkids. If only there had been many more.
We will miss him dearly.

We were all so touched by this unfortunate news. Peter was a leader, a teammate, a friend. He made a huge difference in everything and everyone he touched. Today he would be proud to see how Sun Life continued to function servicing millions of Canadians during these troubled times, in part because of the tireless work Peter did in support of business continuity. A consummate professional who made all of us better. His smile and positive attitude will be missed dearly. The friends of Sun Life and AOS send our deepest condolences to the whole family. Peter will forever be in our hearts. Goodbye old friend. Roger & Silvy

I fondly remember the days in 1979 Peter and I spent in the SunLife training room in the Montreal building as “rookies”, we were a small group of 3 starting in the “Systems” department. Our paths would cross at various times over our 35 plus years at Sunlife. I am grateful I got to see Peter one last time when he came to my retirement party in 2018 and we talked about our various plans for retirement. His being spending time with his family and mine doing a lot of travelling. My deepest sympathies to his family, remember his smile.

I remember when I started at Sun Life (many years ago) everybody was intimidating and scary - except Peter. He always gave off the feeling of calmness and friendliness. He certainly knew his stuff, but he always seemed approachable. He will be missed.

Peter and I worked together in the 80s and 90s at various IT teams at Sun Life. We also carpooled to the Sun Life office in Waterloo during which we reminisced the good old days of our career. Peter will greatly be missed. May his soul Rest In Peace!
