Born on October 17, 1950, in Pembroke, Ontario, Raymond was the son of James Coney and Eva Ivy. He lived many years in Quebec, where he was known for his quiet presence
and deep devotion to those close to him.
Raymond leaves behind his children Carl Coney (Nancie Knight) and Derrick Coney (Catherine Lagassé), along with Ms. Dyane Charron. He will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren James, Ariana, Émile, Emma, Caleb, Rhys, Callan, Eliza, and Valley.
He shared the last 11 years of his life with his beloved partner, Ms. Darlene Job, and held a special place in his heart for her children, Bryanna McGarr (Brenton), Tieghan McGarr (Leah), and Sarah Lane (Christopher).
The funeral service will take place at St. John the Baptist Church, located at 233 Sainte-Claire Avenue, Pointe-Claire, QC H9S 4E3, on January 21, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., followed by a memorial.
Raymond will be remembered with love and respect by all who had the privilege of knowing
him.
