Né le 17 octobre 1950 à Pembroke, en Ontario, Raymond était le fils de James Coney et d’Eva Ivy. Il a vécu toute sa vie à Saint-André-d ’Argenteuil, où il était très impliqué dans sa communauté et connu de plusieurs pour sa présence discrète et son profond attachement envers ceux qui l’entouraient.
Raymond leaves behind his children Carl Coney (Nancie Knight) and Derrick Coney (Catherine Lagassé), along with Ms. Dyane Charron. He will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren James, Ariana, Émile, Emma, Caleb, Rhys, Callan, Eliza, and Valley.
He shared the last 11 years of his life with his beloved partner, Ms. Darlene Job, and held a special place in his heart for her children, Bryanna McGarr (Brenton), Tieghan McGarr (Leah), and Sarah Lane (Christopher).
Ray worked for many years in social services and formed meaningful friendships with coworkers, clients, and their families. He will be remembered for always going above and beyond for his “kids”.
The funeral service will take place at St. John the Baptist Church, located at 233 Sainte-Claire Avenue, Pointe-Claire, QC H9S 4E3, on January 21, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service.
Raymond will be remembered with love and respect by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
