You didn't have to be family for Bob Ryan to tell you he loved you, and he might not ask for permission before giving you one of his giant, all-encompassing hugs. Anyone who spent time with Bob became familiar with that famous canon-shot of laughter that meant he was truly enjoying the gifts that life had given him, and this positivity and enthusiasm lifted up everyone he met. On Friday, January 25, 2019 that contagious laugh was quieted as Robert Richard Ryan passed away suddenly of natural causes in his home in Pointe-Claire. The youngest of 8 siblings, Bob was an adoring brother, father, grandfather and uncle who spoiled family and friends alike. He will be remembered as a devoted caretaker, trustworthy friend, nonjudgmental confidant and all around wonderful human being. Bobby loved to engage and debate, if only to gain perspective from others while making use of his intellect, quick wit and a smile that put everyone at ease. Each year at Christmastime, he shared one earnest wish: peace on earth. He made the same request every year. Family, friends and others whose lives Bob touched are invited to A Celebration of Life from 2 to 6 pm on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Maxville Studio, 1307 Avenue Van Horne, Outremont, QC, Canada. Please join us to reminisce, support each other, and - of course - laugh and celebrate Bob's love of life.
