

Ron, as he was known to his friends and family was born on January 28, 1939 in Montreal to the late Clarence and Dorothy Neill. Ron grew up in the Dunany area and attended high school in Lachute. He graduated from McGill University in 1960 with a degree in engineering. Ron worked for Steinberg and later Rexel Canada, rising to Director of Risk Management. Ron married Carol Belair in 1967 and they were together until her passing in 2004. He enjoyed playing golf when the seasons cooperated and curling during the winter months. Ron was a long-time member of the Summerlea Golf and Country Club where he made numerous friends and liked to play bridge.
Ron is preceded in death by his wife Carol Katherine (nee Belair); his parents Clarance William Neill and Dorothy Gertrude Morrison; and his brother Beverley Clarence Neill. Ron is survived by his sister Amy Neill Fuller of Columbus, Georgia; his nephews Stuart Neill (Lori), Warren Neill (Karen), Herbert Neill Fuller (Denise) and nieces Margaret Amy Gettis (Gary), Mary Ann McCullough (Steve) along with numerous great nephews and nieces. He will be fondly remembered by dear friend and traveling companion Bridget Bradford.
Ron will be cremated and interred at Saint-Lambert Cemetery. No service is planned at this time.
