Weisnagel, Stella (nee Hreha), in her 85th year and beloved wife of Dr. John Weisnagel for 63 years, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2022 at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Pointe Claire with her family by her side.
She is lovingly remembered by her sons Robert (Trish), Michael (Karen) and Richard, her step grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and her extended family across the country.
Stella was a wonderful example of what it means to be true to one's self, and the very embodiment of style and grace. Her dedication as a wife and mother were at the heart of all she did, and her compassionate sensibility brought joy and inspiration to all who knew her. She was a talented artist, an avid reader, a brilliant cook, a late-blooming golfer, and a passionate believer in the power of positive thinking who loved entertaining family and friends (and fearlessly trying out new recipes).
We will miss her warmth, her smile, her great sense of humour, and of course her Christmas deserts. In keeping with Stella's wishes, cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday June 17, 2022 starting with visitation at 11am at the Collins Clarke Macgillivray White Funeral Home, 222 Autoroute 20, Pointe-Claire, QC.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stella’s name to either the Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation or the charity of your choice.
