Benicia Rodriguez

Rodriguez, Benicia age 93 of Pompano Beach, FL passed away on June 20, 2016. Born in Spain, she had been a longtime, local resident. As the matriarch of her family, Benicia loved to cook and sew for her family. As a business woman, she was a boutique owner of Desiree Boutique in the Royal Palm Plaza for 35 years and owned Benicia Fashions in Pompano Beach during the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. She is survived by her son, Emilio Rodriguez; by her grandchildren: Alicia (John) LaSala; Michelle Rodriguez, Marcie (Mike) Benson, Chris (Tina) Rodriguez, Jennifer Innes, and Josh Rodriguez; by great-grandchildren: Nicholas LaSala, Austin Hayes, Patton Rodriguez, Ava Rodriguez, Dylan Innes, Madden Innes, Deacon Innes, Mykala Innes, and Addison Bazan; and by her nieces and nephews: Maria Soltesz, Maria (Marshall) Ruetz, Herminio (Rhonda) Roig, Ana (Drew) Waldman, Fernando (Melissa) Roig, Emilio Rodriguez, and Consuelo (Osvaldo) Monzon. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 22nd, 2016 from 6-8pm at the funeral home. The funeral mass will be on Thursday, June 23rd, 2016 at 10:00am at St. Coleman Catholic Church in Pompano Beach. Following the funeral, Benicia will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Pompano Beach Cemetery. Arrangements were made by: Kraeer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 200 N.
