Today I thought about you and I was like "Damn, I just ant to ask for some advise one more time" I already know the answer is gonna be that "All limitations are self imposed." I just ant to hear it again from you ya know. I pray you are at peace. Lord knows you are truly missed.

To my sister Cannie the best big sister that ever was or will be.  Thanks for always looking out for me  in life and after your passing.  I will always cherish all of our memories, adventures, and laughs we shared together. Until we meet again  in heaven. Life has not been and will never be the same without you.

Still really hard to believe it's already been two long years. I miss my mentor, my advocate, my confidant and most importantly my friend. You are sorely missed.

Cannie… it’s crazy today is two years since you left for greener pastures. So much of life seems empty without you! I wish I can say it’s better with  the passing of time but it’s really hard! We miss you sooo much, words cannot express the heaviness of spirit. However, my good days have outweighed my bad days! I will continue on in faith and hope! It’s what we have my child.

Cannie my daughter, my love, my heart ❤️ my first born it is week three and the pain of your passing is unbearable. I thought I would hear your voice call out as you come through the door, Hey Mom  what you up too… but it has all gone silent, very silent! The family and friends have come and gone, and silence fill the place of our daily phone calls. I miss you sooo much!

Cannie was always passionate about her work and doing her best. She was always kind and respectful when we crossed paths at work. I am grateful for our conversations and time spent. My sincerest condolences to her family and daughter. You all are in my prayers. 

Cannie was a truly lovely and bright person. She lit up any room she entered with her beautiful smile and vibrant personality. She was a very honest upbuilding and trustworthy person. She will definitely be missed. To Cannie’s family my condolences to you all and I pray that God continues to give you an out pouring of comfort to endure 2nd Corinthians 2-4. I am grateful to have know Cannie even if it was for a short period of time.  

You were always so happy and positive whenever I would see you.  You were one of the first people I met when I moved to Florida and made me feel welcome. I enjoyed working with you and hearing your laughter. I will miss you but know you will be looking down and watching over you family.  

Alex and Olivia please  accept my genuine condolences in this difficult time for you and your family.   Loss of a Mother is a significant loss. Your mom was a truly an extraordinary woman and was admired by everyone who knew her.
May time heal the sadness that you feel with the loss of your Mother. During these tough times, know that you are in our thoughts and prayer.

Cannie, words cannot begin to explain what we shared. From being co-workers to building a true friendship, the journey was amazing. I will miss our early morning,  afternoon  and late night conversations.  Our Amazon finds, home decor and meal prep ideas, tik tok shares, photo dumps...we shared a lot especially about our girls..hopes and dreams for them and our eventual retirement trips..lol. Olivia will miss the heck out of you and so will I. You told me that before you leaved this earth you wanted to be a blessing in someone's life. I'm happy to say mission accomplished! I was a beneficiary of that blessing literally and figuratively and I'm sure you were that for so many others as well. I could write a book but I will end by saying..toodles! It has definitely been a numbing experience regarding the sudden loss of Cannie.  As a First Data alum for 10 years, I have built numerous life long relationships with other colleagues.  Since leaving First Data a few years ago to become an ISO and working with Cannie, I can say that I am truly blessed.  Based on my few years of experience working with Cannie and getting to know about her daughter/family, I am greatly appreciative of the time I had with her.  She epitomized the joy of working with someone that deserves respect because of her professionalism, sincerity, integrity, her trust, and overall personality to exude a natural care for our partnership.  I will sorely miss all these things about Cannie, as well as her laugh.  :-) 
Simply put, Cannie was a special person and again, I am blessed and so thankful for her.  RIP Cannie.

This is so heartbreaking that you are gone. You were such a hard worker at Fiserv. Always went above and beyond. I will never forget when we were working from home everyday and kids had online school too. You always asked about Caleb or would want to see him on the screen. He looked forward to seeing you as well. You will truly be missed. RIP Cannie :(


Why do God give us sunshine and at night  time take it away. Why do God give us roses that soon fade away. Why do God give us loved ones that we cherish so, and take them back to heaven, I guess we’ll never know.

Words cannot express my shock and sorrow about the passing of Cannie Thomas. Cannie and I first met when I joined First Data in 2015. I missed the start of the training class so Cannie had to train me separately until I got up to speed to join the main class. From our numerous conversations, I could see that she was a very educated woman and was very ambitious. She was a joy to be around and she had a way of lighting up the room. Her daughter and my daughter had a chance to become friends during Bring Your Kids to Work Day. She is gone way too soon but I know she is with the LORD. May her soul rest in peace.

I don’t even know where to begin to start. Cannie is absolutely one of the most kind and joyful ladies I have had the pleasure to work with.  Our conversations may have been initiated  because of a client but it started with a long conversation about our children and family.  She absolutely adored her children. We laughed a lot together. No matter the day, good hair day, bad hair day, she always picked up her video call. Without fail, Cannie went above and beyond to help no matter the circumstance. Lol she even chased pies all over Coral Springs for me. Cannie was patient with me (my last message to her I’m pretty sure was… I’m so sorry I suck at paper work), she educated me, and she encouraged me (first person to congratulate me on my success but I always made sure she knew it could never have been possible without her support). I am so grateful for the opportunity to have one of our amazing conversations Thursday before she left.  Happy Friday Eve she says. 😊. I am blessed to call her my friend. 


I will miss her like crazy. 💕

Cannie and I first met at Oakland park she was a trainer for Amtrust. Then I had the pleasure of working for her at Hollywood branch. Cannie was a great mother who loved both Alex and Liv like she lovingly called her and very proud of them. Cannie gave you tough love but you knew she care if she told you like it was. I will miss you and thank you for the time we spent. My condolences to Alex and Liv and family. Heaven has a new angel . 

Evelyn, words cannot express my deepest sympathy with the loss of your beloved daughter. I know our Heavenly Father will comfort & strengthen you during this time, as well as many days ahead of you. Take hope - you will see her again. There are questions that we may never get answered until we stand face to face with our Lord & Savior.

To the family of Cannie Monique Thomas, Please accept my sincerest condolences.

Cannie's friendship has been instrumental in the development of my mental, emotional and professional growth since the day we met at First Data all those years ago.

I can still remember vividly... spending far too much time sorting thru my personal problems while on company time, where Cannie would take time away from her schedule to help me put out fires seemingly by the hour. 

Cannie has always been a calming wellspring of peace and understanding that prohibits stress and chaos.

I find this particularly difficult to accept because there are still far too many words unsaid and moments unshared.  

Olivia, (Liv) you may not know me by name but you know me by description and vehicle. Loud car, big wheels, drives fast from 2017.

Your mother was always the literal definition of the word JOY. The one heartfelt expression she would always say was "Yo Jay! It Can't Rain All The Time." That would usually be followed up by - "So, Dont Sweat It."

Cannie... you will be surely missed, I thank you for being someone I am proud to call my friend.

Cannie and I met when I walked into the training site off Oakland Park Blvd to start my 9 yr AmTrust career and her first words to me were “Aren’t we looking mighty Business Casual today” LOL ! From then on I knew she was my kind of people and we’d become friends. She was always the co-worker that would have you laughing so hard tears would roll down your cheeks.  To her beautiful daughters always know she is with you and is proud of everything you do. Cannie will truly be missed by all who were blessed to know her. 

 Cannie Thomas was not only a friend to me but a role model. i looked up to her as a mentor. She was a strong, vibrant, positive, straight to the point person. She always told me the reality of any situation. I admired her courage to face life and overcome any challenge. I will miss her beautiful smile .To Olivia and Alex, know in your heart that you were the joys of your mother's life. She will  continue to watch over you and her memories will be your reason to shine

Cannie was one of my favorite clients.  Always putting that extra effort into making sure that her and Olivia's hair was looking great.  We had the best conversations.  She surely will be missed 😢. 

I am still in shock and I miss you friend. You left us  way to soon and we miss you. I hope you knew how much you were loved. You helped everyone  no matter who they were you helped.  I will miss you. I will miss our last  night of the month late nighters. 
There is a bigger plan for you. See you again Cannie.

I am speechless 💔 😢, I am shocked , I am angry . Cannie and I built both a work relationship and friendship. We have so many memories.  She will be greatly missed once I can even accept this is real. Too young and such a good soul to go like this . RIP 🙏 my friend and colleague...

Very sorry to hear about Cannie.  She was a lovely lady and always made others (including visitors like me) welcome and part of the team.  My condolences to the family.

It's never easy losing a loved one, friend or Colleague (work family). Cannie was an amazing person who left her mark every where she went; she worked hard, loved hard and enjoyed everything and everyone she put her heart into.
