Cecile Charles passed away on June 26, 2013, at 3:22 am, at home. After months of struggle during which her health had deteriorated, Cecile Charles recited her favorite bible verses, Psalms 23 & 27 to the Lord and took her final breath.
Cecile Charles was born on June 25, 1930 in LaBiche Haiti, to her mother and father Camelie Fleury and JoAchain Charles. There, Cecile gave birth to her 7 children Yvon Cham, Herard Cham, Marie J. Charles, Toussaint Roland, Delourdes Charles-Tropnas, Marie C. Charles-Garvin and Lesly Charles. Survivors include all Cecile's 7 children and 15 grandchildren: Alexandra Vilson, Jean Cham, Florence Cham, Nadia Cham, Jean Richard Cham, Angelo Cham, Sivenson Frantz, Valerie Charles, Mario Cham, Nadia Cham, Marcelle Cham, Nathaniel Cham, Jeff Roland, Marceline Roland, Skye Garvin, and 16 Great grandchildren and her sister Ermence Charles.
Cecile migrated to the USA in 1983, and worked real hard to provide and bring her children to the United States. Up until her last breath she continued to care and provide for her extended family and friends back home. She accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized at Evangelical Haitian Church directed by Pastor Mark St. Hubert . As a result of her health, she began attending and worshipping at Alliance Chretienne in Jesus Christ directed by Pastor Israel Pigne, where she continued serving the Lord with all of her heart.
One of the most memorable characteristic of Cecile was her sense of humor, how she would entertain her children and grandchildren with various funny stories from back in the days. The way she can make us laugh by just looking at her facial expression when she wants to say something out loud and decided not too.
Cecile was a very loving and giving woman, who was loved by everyone who knew her. Cecile truly had the heart of a true humanitarian.
She will always be remembered and be truly missed.
