Dorothy Weston

Dorothy is survived by her son, Damian and his wife Michelle; brother, Tia Chin and his wife, Clair; grandson, Dorian and granddaughter, Gianna.

Dorothy was born on November 22, 1945 in Kingston, Jamaica to Mook Sue and Evy Chin. After moving to Brooklyn, NY in the 1970’s Dorothy began working in the travel industry at Flyfare Inc. where she met new friends and some she still kept in touch with. In 1983, Dorothy moved to Florida and continued working in the travel industry.

Once retired, Dorothy stepped in and helped take care of her grandkids. Dorothy enjoyed gardening and making floral arrangements to share with friends and family. She also enjoyed watching her grandkids play sports. Dorothy was an amazing cook and she will be remembered for that. Dorothy also enjoyed talking with her friends and family and sharing motivational messages. Dorothy was an active member of Riverside Church and her faith was so important to her.

A funeral is scheduled for Saturday March 12, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Kraeer Funeral Home Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, with a reception to follow. Pastor Brian Brookins will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Dorothy’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Anthony Rizzo Foundation for cancer research.
