Eric Cosimo Pellegrino

Eric was born on April 20, 1948 to Cosimo Pellegrino and Claire (Wargo) Pellegrino in Buffalo, NY. After graduating from Kenmore High School he joined the Army; graduated from Military Police Training and served as Sergeant with the Military Police in Berlin from 1968 to 1972.

After returning from service Eric enjoyed a career in Hospitality as former restaurateur, district and regional manager for various large chain operations and spent a long career as Director of Food and Beverage Operations for Seneca Gaming in Western, NY.

Eric was previously married to Catherine (Hawrylenko) Pellegrino of Fort Erie, Canada and they had 3 children, Eric Pellegrino, Brittany (Pellegrino) Alessi and Michelle Pellegrino. Eric was remarried in 1998 to Joni (Krzemien) Pellegrino of Buffalo, NY and had 1 more child, Courtney Pellegrino. Eric also gained a Step-Son, Christopher Krzemien of Buffalo, NY when Eric and Joni blended their families.

In 2021 Eric retired to Pompano Beach, FL where he enjoyed walking his dogs, spending time with family, playing pool, boating and enjoying the endless summer handicapping the horses at the races. The perfect day for Eric was to watch the horses run with his wife by his side, shoot a few games of pool with his friends and then back home for a hot meal before heading to bed to do it all over again.

Eric was predeceased by Cosimo Pellegrino; father, Claire (Wargo) Pellegrino; mother, Peggy (Maxick) Pellgrino; sister, Lorraine Pellegrino; sister, James Pellegrino; brother. He is survived by his children Eric, Brittany, Michelle, Courtney and Christopher (step-son), as well as 7 nieces and nephews and 3 Grandchildren; Domenic and Matteo (to Brittany) and Hazel (to Michelle).

A private service for the family will be held on Sunday March 12, 2023 in Pompano Beach, FL and full military honors will be received at a service at the South Florida National Cemetery on a future date TBA. Flowers may be sent to his home at 1156 SW 4th Ave. Pompano Beach, FL 33060.
