Ernestine "Ernie " Rodriguez, of Oakland Park, FLorida went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 21, 2014, at Saint Anthony's Hospital in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Ernestine was 77 years old and was born on July 6, 1937, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Jorge and Manuela Rodriguez. She is survived by her three sisters: Hilda Echevaria, Lydia Rodriguez, and Vilma Zerenga.
Ernestine was a hairdresser for over 57 years. She always said, "do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life." She loved her profession and never worked a day in her life. Ernestine also loved to work in her garden, travel, work on her People Magazine crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She enjoyed outings with her dear friends and spending time with family.
Ernestine leaves behind three daughters: Debra and Craig Keneipp, Lisa and Francisco Pablos, and Maria and Joseph Langsdon. She also leaves ten grandchildren: Kristina Prestipino Rojas; Charles Patton, Austin Patton, Nicolas Patton, Meliz Yilmaz, Sezen Yilmaz, Andrew Langsdon, Will Langsdon, Abbi Langsdon, and Margaret Polivka.
Ernestine was loved and will be dearly missed by all.
