Felix Ruiz

Felix Ruiz, 45, passed away on Friday, February 22nd 2013 at Moffitt Cancer Research Center in Tampa, Florida, after his long fought battle with cancer. He was born on June 14th 1967 in New York, NY to Jose and Iris Ruiz.

Felix grew up in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, where he graduated from high school and went to college. After college, he moved to Florida, where he met his Wife Gabby. They had three kids together; Emily, Tiffany, and Felix.

He worked in the aviation industry for over 15 years and owned a successful business. He worked hard, to be able to give his family not only what they needed, but also everything they could possibly want. Nothing made him happier, than spending time with his family.

Felix was a kind, giving person, with a huge heart. He was the type of person to help anyone in need, without hesitation, especially to those whom he was a father figure and mentor to. His larger than life personality and witty comments will be missed by many.

Felix is survived by his spouse Gabby; his son Felix; and his daughters Emily and Tiffany; his brother Joe; his sister Denise; and his parents Jose and Iris.

The services will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Forest Lawn, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33064. The viewing will be from noon - 3:00 pm, the church service will be from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm, and then there will be an additional viewing from 5:00 pm - 8:00pm.
