Jonathan Jason Tripp, 36, of Coconut Creek, Florida, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023. He was born on November 17, 1986, at Broward General Hospital in Fort Lauderdale to his mother Jacqueline Bates Fichera and his father John Tripp.
Jonathan was a loving and proud father to his two beautiful daughters, Trinity and Tabitha Tripp of Boca Raton. He is survived by his daughters; his mother Jacqueline Bates Fichera and her husband Mike Fichera of Evergreen, Colorado; his father John Tripp of California; his brother Jason Howard Tripp of California, and nephew Jayden Tripp of Port St. Lucie, Florida; his fiancée Karen Melendez and soon-to-be stepdaughter Dakota of Coconut Creek; his uncles Ray Bates of Lake Wales, Florida, and Robin Tripp of Ocala, Florida; aunts Collette Edwards of Arizona, LoAnn Griffith of Tennessee, Kim Reniger of Jupiter, Florida, Jill Hunt of Alabama, and Renee Tripp of Indiana.
At an early age, Jonathan found his passion as a mechanic, starting with working on bicycles, then four-wheelers and then on to cars and trucks. That passion led him to his career at Waste Management, where he started as a mechanic seven years ago and worked his way up as a fleet manager at their site in Pompano Beach.
Jonathan loved fast cars, boating, fishing, and his newfound hobby motorcycles. He was proud of his Harley Davidson and won the best-looking Harley award at a recent charity Poker Run. He also loved and enjoyed spending time at their house, or as he called it “his little piece of paradise.”
Visitation Service for Jonathan will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service following at 5 p.m. at Kraeer Funeral Home, 200 West Copans Rd., Pompano Beach, FL 33064.
